Sinovac Biotech Ltd., a Beijing-based maker of human vaccines, plans to conduct human testing of a vaccine against avian influenza as the virus spreads across China's poultry farms. ``We are in talks with some hospitals in Beijing to finalize the details and sign the appropriate agreements before we can conduct testing on humans,'' Lu Zhenyou, a spokeswoman a Sinovac's marketing department, said in a telephone interview. The company said yesterday it won State Food and Drug Administration approval for the trials, a month after applying.
