Brazil, Russia, China, and India are interested in the ODF standard because, an IBM manager says, the format allows these governments to more easily move among platforms. By W. David Gardner TechWeb News In announcing the Workplace Management Client in India Monday, IBM is signaling to countries with emerging economies that IBM's adherence to the OpenDocument format (ODF) can ensure easy interoperability between systems and platforms.
