NASA’s new administrator Michael Griffin plans on getting rid of nearly 20 officials from the organization. The cuts will include two of the people involved in planning the first space shuttle mission in more than two years. Griffin’s goal is to create a more scientific team to pursue President Bush’s plan to have men walking on the moon by at least 2020; eventually they plan on sending manned missions to Mars, but that would be years past the moon visit. The parties affected will be notified on Monday June 13.
