Vodafone Group Plc, the world's largest mobile-phone service provider, said it will end a sponsorship accord with Manchester United two years earlier than planned and will endorse Europe's Champions League competition. The jersey-sponsorship agreement with United, first signed in 2000 and worth 9 million pounds ($15.5 million) a year, will now expire at the end of the English soccer season in May. The parties plan to continue their accord in other areas, they said in a joint e-mailed statement today.
