Opera Software has released Opera 8 for Macintosh, offering the same level of functionality as existing Linux and Windows versions of the browser. This powerful independently-developed browser is only available for Mac OS X 10.2 or higher. The release offers what Opera describes as its "most Mac-like interface yet" - this is because the company has fully-applied Apple's Human Interface Guidelines. Opera 8 supports Keyboard access to its features also. State of independence
